Cooperative Program
One of best ways we help in spreading the message of Christ to our lost world is through giving to the cooperative program. Every time you give to Lakeside Church, 7% of that money goes to the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention. This fund was established specifically for the purpose of missions. Together with approximately 43,700 churches across North America, we raised over $522 million in 2005. Those funds get used in a variety of ways…
Local Missions
Part of the money goes directly to our convention in Utah and Idaho to fund new church plants and missions throughout the two states.
Foreign Missions
The money is also used to sponsor missionaries through the North American Mission Board(NAMB) and the International Mission Board(IMB). Together, we make it possible for over 5,000 missionaries to remain on their mission field and not have to come back to the US to raise funds.
Leadership Training
A portion of the funds also go to fund the various seminaries and theological centers that are vital to preparing the leaders, church planters and missionaries of the future.
