Derek Jones – Lead Pastor

Derek is the founding and lead pastor of Lakeside. He moved to Utah with his family from Eastern Canada in 2001 to start Lakeside Church. He has over 25 years of pastoral experience and is actively involved in training church planters in Utah and Idaho.  Derek’s main responsibilities are teaching, developing leadership and pastoral care.

Matt Jones – Executive Pastor

Matt has been on staff at Lakeside since 2003. His responsibilities include developing strategy, managing the staff, media development and leading the band on Sundays.  He also teaches on Sunday mornings when Pastor Derek is out of town.

Roger Beal – Purpose Driven Leader (Evangelism)

Having attended another great church here in the valley for a number of years, Roger and his family decided to make Lakeside their church home a number of years ago when his heart became broken for his own community in Syracuse. Roger’s passion for evangelism finds him often leading or being involved in community outreach programs at Lakeside like Financial Peace University.
